Florida’s workers’ compensation drug-free workplace program is voluntary. Qualifying employers may be eligible for a 5% premium credit through their carrier; eligibility and maintenance requirements must be confirmed.

State workplace programs and DOT testing are distinct. A business may have both. Do not use one program’s approval, forms or test order as a substitute for the other.

What would we ask Jev?

Review the applicable written policy, employee notices and education, supervisor training, assistance resources, testing procedures, confidentiality, records and certification or carrier requirements. This is a discussion outline, not a complete statutory checklist.
